Shades of blue...

I'm not sure if it's because I have a little boy...

but I am noticing gorgeous shades of blue....dotted through my photographs.

i love everything about this old sandpit boat...

i don't go anywhere without a ball....you can just see our favourite globe ball
poking out of my beach bag

he has his daddy's eyes... twinkling blue

a vintage desk, globe and a wooden tool kit...what's not to love
 about these old treasures

crisp blue skies, cold water and the sun just setting...a very happy boy.

Beautiful photos Sarah. Hmm, I must say that if I close my eyes and think about your blog, the first colour that comes to mind is pale blue! Maybe it's your gorgeous header...

Love the globe ball - we'd love one just like it!

Goodmorning Sarah!
Our day is just starting, 7.50 am here and I log in to see this lovely post, with a cute little boy and a sun setting....bliss! I think I will be official jealous, with the rain and cold here, mountains and no sea or sun...sigh...
Loved this post! Enjoy the rest of your day,
Maureen x

Hi Sarah :) I really hope you bought that little blue desk, isnt it great!? Its funny, I always notice more blue in my photos nearing the summer time. Just the aching for water and blue skies. oh and yes we did collect lots of pretty shells and the kids have been re-creating beach scenes with them the last few days.

Hi Sarah, blue is one of my favourite colours - I love all your photos - especially the one of you and your gorgeous boy (love you new profile pic too!!). I'd been meaning to ask you where abouts you got your gorgeous boat sandpit or did you make it yourselves? I'd love to get one for Grace...

it is because you have a boy. i have to remind myself that it is okay for me to wear pink because, of yes, i am a girl.

ps. this may only be because i have two boys.

Coming over from Maureen's blog. Pleased to meet you! That photo of you and your boy: you look positively radiant! Blue is a tranquil color. I'm drawn to it for that reason. (Though I'll always love my reds!)

I have always been suprised when people relate sadness to feeling blue. All of these shades are so calming and uplifting. Exactly like your blog entries, calming and uplifting. x
