fresh and tasty...

I had a big bunch of fragrant basil that needed using up today...after rest time we grated 1/3 cup of parmesan, chopped a large bunch of basil, crushed some garlic, opened a packed of raw cashew nuts and placed it all in my new mini blender.
Slowly whizzed...added olive oil and together we stood at the kitchen bench munching away on
crackers and crunchy cashew, parmesan and basil dip.

No preservative or anything nasty added - just fresh and tasty ingredients for the 2 of us and my growing baby bump...

Looks super yummy. I still smile every time I see the photo of your gorgeous little man in his boat on your blog header.

Delicious!!! Can I ask where you got your mini blender from and what brand... have been after one for a while.

Only this morning I was thinking of how to use up some basil and was contemplating making some pesto but your idea is even better! Yum!

Hi Angela,

the little blender is a Mistral from Target ... it's only a mini one (but is very strong)!

So fresh! We did basil pesto yesterday from our garden and little e eats it straight from the herb patch! Yummy idea with cashews. I'm sure even your pea in the pod would have loved it :) X
