winter sun and a slow day . . .

today we took things slow . . .
slow play in the gorgeous winter sun ~ role playing pirates and sailors  ~
and
slow nesting . . . washing soft baby blankets and making
little lavender bags to keep baby clothes scented and fresh.
i drank copious of amounts of fresh ginger and lemon tea ~ helping to sooth my sore throat.

i am thankful for a long weekend  . . . and the pear and raspberry crumble i am about to pull out of the oven x

Looks and sounds so lovely! Poor you with a sore throat. Don't cook dinner for Monday night...will drop some soup over if you're going to be home. Rest up and enjoy your slow days. Catch up soon :) x

Hope you are looked after by your boys this long weekend, giving you as much chance to rest as possible. I know it may not be as lovely as just lemon and ginger but I added minced garlic to that when I was pregnant, to help ward off those nasty bugs! Gorgeous craft. Misses E&M received their cute cute cat in the mail...thank you and your little one! They were beaming with excitement and are creating something to post in return. Big hugs. X
