and we wait . . .

one month left  . . . just the three of us and my big belly.

anticipation and excitement is mounting as the three of us snuggle in bed morning and night
counting down these last few weeks
we wait for those strong kicks that tickle under my rib cage ~
we wait for your familiar little dance that makes us giggle ~
we watch and smile as your big brother kisses, cuddles and chats away to you almost all the time ~
he loves you and includes you in everything that we do . . .
we love you and patiently we will wait our sweet little one.

One perfect day......the sea was calm, the sky was blue and a little boy sailed his wooden boat.

I discovered the boat/shelf at at a local bric a brac store...and i had to have it. It was going to be painted white and used as a shelf...until a little inquisitive boy decided to sit in it one Sunday afternoon.

Daddy took out the shelves, painted the inside white, cut out a little fabric sail and gently tied it onto a stick that he also painted white...the little one watched with big blue eyes, smiled and played with his shells and a seed pod.

We found a beautiful spot and he sailed...it was perfect and he loved it!

*the little boat now sits on the porch or in the bedroom...some days it is filled with books other days it gets used as a spot to have a quiet morning snack...it's popular with friends, adults ask where we got it and your lovely comments and emails about the little header have made us smile with happiness. Thank you x

This moment...

{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

One perfect day...

One perfect day he was born...born into our loving arms. Oh, how I would love precious time to stand still. It amazes me almost everyday how time moves so quickly with a little one. Tomorrow we celebrate 2 years, I find it extremely hard to articulate and to write just how much he means to us and just how much we love him. So full of life, so sensitive and loving to those he meets and to those who are so important to him. We are proud and full of love for this little life...
